Robert Todd
My brother bought a nice old brown Vortalex pedestal last week. The good news is that it runs and oscillates well. The bad news is that it is cosmetically challenged. It is in need of a repaint. I was wondering if anyone can suggest a suitable paint to refinish this fan. Thanks. Malcolm MacGregor
How about a photo of the fan? GE made many versions and sizes of the Vortalex. Depending on the model number, some where a metallic ice blue, others in dark colors.
Robert Todd
Thanks for the response. As I mentioned, my brother bought this so I cannot provide a picture other than this picture he sent me of it disassembled. I believe it might be a 12". Anthony Lindsey
I did this one in Rustoleum Dark Metallic Copper

Stan Adams
John Fengel turned me onto Duplicolor Bronze Mag Wheel paint. It is very close to the original GE color.

Stan Adams
I get mine at O'Reileys, but I often have to get them to order bronze.
Robert Todd
I tried a couple of O'Reillys this morning with no luck.
Lane Shirey
Just an fyi, I’ve found that the Duplicolor wheel paint usually needs some clear coat to look right and be durable. So pick a can of that up too. I agree it’s a nice match.
