My first restored tags

Well thanks to all the information available (from old forum) from many extremely helpful members I have to say I'm pretty happy how the restored tags for my 16" Hunter/GE AOU turned out. Should have polished the brass better, but... Next is to put painters tape on them to protect them and get on to painting the rest of the fan pieces.

I just used Rustoleum flat black in rattle can, 1000 grit sandpaper glued to wife's emory board followed by Mohawk crystal clear lacquer again in rattle can.

You can easily remove the rivets by using a narrow drift punch and one tap from the underside and the rivets pop out. Then you don’t have to tape it off. Don’t lose them since they will be fine to use for reinstallation.
