Emerson 16666 wire color? Have a mismatch.

I have a 16666 that I think is a prime candidate for preservation 95% (probably more) of japan intact and in good shape. Needs some blade attention and have reached out to members about that.  It came with what appears to be original wiring. I has a plug not socket adapter. The head wire is black and very fine stranded maybe Litz wire? The power cord is a beige/tan color and over 10 ft long. Is the color mismatch correct. If not what is correct color for that period?  I remember seeing info about tan being correct, but headwire is throwing me.
