Are these ge fans good?

Someone near me is selling this ge fan. I have a few other fans. Two diehls from the 50s, a Westinghouse from the 60s, a hunter century fan from the late 40s and an emerson from the early 30s.

when is this ge fan from and what is the model number?

are these ge fans reliable, strong and easy to fix and grease?

How much is something like this worth? It’s in working condition

The better GE fans I think will be found in the older cast iron motor, base and gearbox models up through 1924 (up to Form AD).   Below is a 1922 Form AB.   The next two years, form AC and AD, are identical or nearly so.   Original paint on the fan below.  The two shades of green are due to lighting or exposure.   It is the same fan in all photos.

I agree with Steve.I’m really only into brass ,but I do have a 10” 1947 there about, and the base looks like it sat in water with rust .It is very simple to work on and runs flawlessly.

Chris,

I purchased mine a few years ago for $30.00. A 16" which I use as my garage fan. Came with no tag, great original paint. Had to fix the on/off switch and add a new lead wire. Definitely does it's job.
