Saw this floating on eBay with 40 watchers and just bit the built and bought it. Was it high? A little but shopping was included. Runs so so so very quiet and pushes some serious air, holy cow! Back cowl has some dings but other then that, it’s complete and in very good shape.

As a member you have access to the various catalogues & advertisements. Your fan is last seen in the 1937 Emerson catalogue, BUT....your switch must have been replaced down the road from its original purchase. The switch pictured on the 37 model and models earlier is not what you have. The Cutler-Hammer switch is first seen in catalogue on the 38 Swan offering.

Thank you. Yea I was thinking the switch tip had been replaced at some point. I was using the cage as an age reference point since they changed it up in 36? I’ve just been using pictures offline from antique fan parts as dating references when none could be established from markings alone. The first picture he says is a 1936 then 1934 on the one that looks like mine. Good to know about the documentation at my fingertips. Anyone have the correct switch? Haha ! Thanks

I saw your guard and model still offered in the 37 catalogue.  Nothing wrong with your C-H switch position adjuster, it is chocolate brown like the rest of the fan.

Yea, with the fan off, with 2 fingers grab the ribbed ring on the oscillator wheel and turn it to center the link in the wheel to discontinue oscillation.

For the dents in your housing bullet back use a tool with a rounded end and a hammer.  With the bullet housing dent over a firm yet padded surface go after those dents from the inside carefully until the outside surface is smoothed out. A buffing wheel and rouge is a major plus to bring back the chrome like luster. Good luck.
