Anthony Lindsey Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 I had the oval oscillating Freezer fan and it had the same handle. Quote
Jim Roadt Posted January 11, 2023 Author Posted January 11, 2023 Another attempt at pontypool Literally put this on with a stick. Some bubbles some thin spots. I will let it dry for a few days then long and slow at 250 and see how it goes. Possibly 2nd coat. Yoke was easier just dipped in can directly ( I was not prepared to hang it and had to use whatever was in reach) I would not recommend this as a replacement to japan ( original or Rick ) nor any other method done in experienced hands. This is not a great paint job by any means, however, it is simple and more fun than rattle can imho Not intended for use on valuable fans 4 Quote
Jim Roadt Posted January 18, 2023 Author Posted January 18, 2023 Few days of cooking and completely set. A little too grainy for my liking Quote
Jim Roadt Posted January 22, 2023 Author Posted January 22, 2023 I prefer perfect shiny looking ( like Bill Dunlap can do ) and if I cant achieve that...like never. I will go for older beatup Japan look. I took the shine off with medium polish, recook them and see what happens. Not recommended for valuable fans Quote
Jim Roadt Posted January 26, 2023 Author Posted January 26, 2023 If you can't get perfect go for imperfect. Some hand polishing with finish wax and it is looking like imperfect Japan Quote
