Material used:

JB Weld, foil,

gold paint (GraybaR only).

BOTH the "GraybaR" and "Flex-O-Ramic" are made from

different ratio mix of the JB Weld.

Ratio mix controls the hardness and shine level.

...Improved process for using recycled plastic waste to

make fan parts... Process is my usual heating method

I use to make low voltage insulators.

However:

...Yes, by using aluminium waste can (bottom portion) I can make an easy

"Plastic mould" for shaping heated plastic.

Cool down is necessary, especially if still hot.

In theory,

the 2 halves should separate relatively easy... 🤔

..The fun part:

Seeing how it turns out 💡

This is one my largest parts made in one piece...

...Uses range from fan bases to motor shell material.

(Depending on how its finished and details added)

Its round and has a bit of sparkle to it:

On first PIC: "... Enterprise, prepare for Saucer Separation-!"

Second PIC: Colors and pattern shown.

Colors dependent on lighting,

but is mainly a light turquoise green.

...There are variations:

Note:

3-Part cast VS. 1-Part:

3-part may be useful for different separate colors in one base.

1-Part is for overall smoothness and structural integrity.

(3-part is my 1st ever test casting)

(1-Part is my latest made)

...Last one for now:

These raw fan bases made await finishing.

The sky is the limit to how they can be used. 💡

...This base has been prepped for slide switch & trunnion mount:

During sanding process, a reddish transfer pattern appeared.

I shaped the very top of base, to resemble a "ball" during sanding...

..this adds a decorative look to it.

Result shown:

...Going for a 3rd attempt:

Adding details,

This is for my "GEMERSON" line of fans.

"GEME" front/rear end bell covers in the works...

...the goal is to have an easy to fill,

Reusable, detailed master copy.

The plastic used is of salvage/ recycled origin.

The metal used is all magnetic type, junk/salvage origin.

GREEN "slag" plastic is 3 types (12th attempt), with variation vent design.

Trying on blades:

One is real Brass,

The other looks very much like Brass,

However, it is actually plastic.

GEMERSON is a fusion of GE & Emerson Electric,

Thus, it can sport either blade design.

...ELEKTROMERE "flower" design gives me ideas:

Very simple, yet decorative.

Bottom most flower is a variation of the "Gemerson Blade Flower"
