Jack Payne
I have a Wizard 45K-60 fan and am trying to rewire it and am looking for a wiring diagram. The power cord was burned from the plug all the way into the fan. I have ohmed the stator and transformer and they appear to be good. Two of the legs from the transformer were wired together and the third was wired to one leg of a 3 position switch. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Stan Adams
It probably had a bad switch, very common. The way it was wired bypassed the choke giving high only. Basically it will be trial & error. All three choke wires go to the three terminals of the switch with the high speed terminal sharing one of the motor wires. The cord goes to one motor wire & the line terminal of the switch. When I say trial & error, I mean the choke connections. (Runs on low at medium position, etc)
