Westinghouse tank

1911 for the standard tank models.  1912 was the introduction of the stamped steel motor which I think came out in late 1911 as 1912 models.   Check the blade hub finger "date" on your fans to see.   First photo is of a 1911 tank, other photos are an early 1912 model stamped steel two speed which the first SS models were, at least the 6 wing models.  I think the hub finger was stamped with the date made and the model year or sold year date also on my stamped steel model.

I think 10 is the smallest number you'll see on Westy fans, possibly 9 for 1909.

My guess is that the 1905-06 tanks used a flatter base ( base on the right below)  than the later tanks and I think it was not until the 1908 tank when the 1906 patent screwed on tag was first used.  1905 tank will not have a fiber cover over the switch and no center screw to fix the plate in place (second photo)

.   Most? 1905 tanks will have a smaller motor than 1906 and later models.  Sometime c. mid 1906 the rib was added to the bottom of the trunnion I estimate.
