What is their smallest diameter?

The smallest in the examples I made is just under 4mm outside diameter.

In the "Good Ol' Days" this was commonly called "Spaghetti". I think I still have some in the junk box.

Here's the more. A supply wire done in the same Edison feild wire styling.20250320_134653.thumb.jpg.0ee1e955e8fea97056cb44b46e787777.jpg20250320_134636.thumb.jpg.fab781ead6c21f477146746c26d5ae95.jpg

Hi Tony-

I've only ever seen braided wire, but this appears to be coiled.

What applications would this have been used in?

What would the benefit of this sheathing be?

Thanks...

This was a customer request. The objective was to look like the Edison feild wire. My concern when ask to do it ,was it's not a braid. Therefore susceptible to unwrapping under consint articulation. I think I 🤔 solved that with a modification to the process. The benefit is purely esthetic. Just simply looks old. Not a modern cookie cutter comerically made wire. Certainly not for everyone. But it's nice to have options.
