Roger Borg
I'm having trouble getting a good soldering connection onto the male centrifugal switch. Are there any tricks to getting it to hold? I'm guessing my rinky dink soldering iron isn't strong enough to get the plate hot enough, but not sure if there's more to it. Advice on best methods appreciated. ALSO, would be great to have suggestions for a relatively reasonably priced quality soldering iron. Thanks everyone...
Bill Dunlap
I use liquid soldering flux, no lead 5% silver bearing solder, and a Weller 260\200 professional soldering gun. Works for me.
Stan Adams
Clean, clean, clean! Make sure all surfaces are clear of oxides or dirt. Then as Bill says, use flux, it should flow with no issues.
Lane Shirey
I use Wellers analog soldering station. You can get it on Amazon. Then you can regulate the heat depending on the size wire you’re soldering.
