Jan Hendriks
Hello, like to share , show some pics of my rusty old Eck . I now call , and rightly so , a new fan. date 1910 ??? pls correct me if wrong no tags on this fan, no rivet holes to be found . work done to get it to run . New struts ,hot formed using high tensile brass ,will not bend ,! will snap first . Complete new cage , using a Marelli center piece and a badge supplied by Rick , from Louis. Armature was sent overseas and rewound ....thank you my good friend . A new set of coils was wound . Finished in Ricks Japan ...and i still have a bit of a copper addiction ...copper was originally bought to use as a flash coat before Nickle ....but .. New bushes to spin the armature on .. .personal touch , some gold lines . Bolts for struts attachment , bolts in neck ,all machined here , . One of most rustiest fans ive come across, now purring happily away . still has original ceramic switch plate , did replace the lever .. As always Cordage samples supplied by Old School Wire ,,cheers . I'm told the green was for my Westy vane. oops . think i covered it all ? . tomorrow i expect the Ac model to turn up in post ...must have one of each eh I sit it with some good company ...my two Edison's .. just a few ..pics below .😁 hey feel free to comment , yay ,,,nay ? on the copper . Eck rear button ...made , Green cord ...great stuff Tony . Some USA fans , company for it ...for now at least ...i just plain showing of . very original C frame , i believe date 1899 ? did not realize how big these fans were , as never seeing one in the flesh , and so used to baby iron clad copper addiction.... Kendriks . ..yes can plate POT metal now with this copper stuff...then over top nickel ................................................... the vane 4 wings soon to sit with a 6 wing must not forget MARELLI...... Russ Huber
Date 1910 ??? pls correct me if wrong no tags on this fan, no rivet holes to be found . The patented guard dates it as early as 1910, and believe it or not, its date of manufacture could be as late as 16. Aside from the Eck Dynamo factory manufactured AC oscillator introduced in 13, the DC models had virtually no changes 10-16.

Tom Morel
Really nice work Jan. I'm especially fond of your new Edison - it has a late serial number, I would put it closer to c. 1905.
