Tom Zapf Posted April 24, 2023 Posted April 24, 2023 I HAVE NEVER SEEN ONE THE BLADE LOOKS LIKE A CHELSEA, BUT I CANT SEE THE HUB 1 Quote
Russ Huber Posted May 19, 2023 Posted May 19, 2023 Silex purchased the Chicago Electric Mfg. Co. in 1953. Procter and Schwartz merged with Silex in 1960 to form the Procter-Silex corp. That puts that box fan between 53 and 60. Being the mid 50s came out with a number of cool reversable box fans, that is where I would place my bet. Quote
Tom Zapf Posted May 19, 2023 Posted May 19, 2023 the motor looks like a takeoff of the cheslea/hoover motor and the blade wings look chelsea but the shape of the blade mounts to the hub is definitley not a cheslea design....hmmmm curiouser and curiouser ..i wouldnt mind having it but i sure dont need any more ! ...did you buy it ?
