Memorial Day fan sighting

Spotted in a lake cabin -- well, relocated WWII barracks -- yesterday is this beefy circulator.

The motor tag specs indicate this is a 5 amp. motor. That's huge power; it moves air on one speed. And the mud dauber's nest adds patina.

Is this originally a fan offering?

Inquiring minds want to know.🤔

It’s a Grainger with a replacement motor. Love that motor, 1/3hp. Zero to wide open in .0005 seconds.

It has a special red button in back. Thermo shutdown under extreme pressure. I bet the blade has 4 set screws just to hold the blade on the shaft.  I thought 1/4 HP was overkill. 🙂

It's hard to tell with some of those Dayton/Grainger circulators if the motor is correct or not. But I would be inclined to agree with you at 1/3 HP.
