Stephen Joe Posted June 8, 2023 Posted June 8, 2023 I'm re-greasing a gearbox and I'm worried about the grease attacking the plastic. I think the plastic is made out of nylon??, and some other parts are made out of another unknown plastic. Can anyone recommend a good grease for plastic oscillator worm gears? Preferably one that's synthetic for long life and doesn't have oil separation issues, and most importantly, compatible with plastic. Quote
Malcolm MacGregor Posted June 9, 2023 Posted June 9, 2023 I wouldn’t worry about attacking the parts with any good grease. Clean up your gears and grease them No grease is worse than ordinary grease👌 Quote
Arjun Saini Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 I usually use some of that red and tacky stuff just heavy duty since I run the absolute crap out of my plastic fans. Especially on oscillating Quote
