Levi Mevis Posted May 12, 2024 Posted May 12, 2024 Hello everyone, a few years back I had bought at a local fleamarket a 1950s Sears Homart Cooler Box Fan (it was a 20" 2 speed electrically reversable fan with a timer switch) with the intention of stripping it down and repainting the body of the fan and the blades a robin's egg blue color and then putting it to use in the summer time but then the fan's body and cage sat outside on the ground for about 2 years which made the rust and paint job worse on the body and I just didn't want to monkey around with trying to strip the old paint off the body when the rust had eaten through the body to the point that I would have to use bondo on it, and I don't know how to do body work, plus I lost some of the fan's parts (such as mounting screws for the drive shaft for the blades and the cage badge and other stuff.) I have the cage still left (and its in good shape yet just has peeling paint) I have the original Motor still and that is still functional yet, and I have the blade assembly yet also in good shape not much paint loss, I have the switch for it yet, including the timer switch and the knob and timer dial cover for the timer switch still, and I have the A frame assembly that the blade drive shaft would attach to, all of those parts are available for the cost of shipping. PM me if you're interested, and let me know what parts you need and I'll see if I can get you those parts and I can let you know how much shipping will be. Thanks, Levi Quote
Levi Mevis Posted May 12, 2024 Author Posted May 12, 2024 EDIT: I meant Window Fan, not Box Fan, this was a belt driven window fan, not a direct drive box fan. Sorry for the typo, I tried to edit it but it didn't give me an option to edit it. Quote
Tom Zapf Posted May 13, 2024 Posted May 13, 2024 YOU STILL HAVE THE WORKING MOTOR AND GRILLE? ...IS IT A ROTARY SWITCH OR THE PUSHBUTTON KIND? Quote
Levi Mevis Posted May 23, 2024 Author Posted May 23, 2024 Its the push-button type, and yes I have the functioning motor and grille minus the badge. Quote
