Vic Valencheck Posted May 23, 2024 Posted May 23, 2024 I'm working on a Diehl table fan. The motor seems to need some new fiber washers. Has anyone taken this motor apart? I tried using a razor blade and fine chisel didn't budge at all. Any ideas? Quote
Russ Huber Posted May 24, 2024 Posted May 24, 2024 (edited) Take a firm grip on the front motor housing half and with a rubber tip hammer tap the front of the rotor shaft. The rear housing should gradually separate. Go easy whacking the shaft so you don't distort the back of the rear housing. Edited May 24, 2024 by Russ Huber Quote

I used a clamp to hold the motor Because I couldn't get a grip with my hands. It would have been a two-man job If not for having that clamp. It took me Only five minutes To crack it open. You saved me a ton of time and aggravation. Thanks so much Have a great weekend! Quote
