Michael Rathberger Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 I was at the hardware store trying to remember what the hell the other thing was I needed. I got back and remembered it was zoom spout. So, not yet, two later vornado swans running. But, the 12" Vader Westy poweraire (best fan ever, forget the pretender Emerson 77646) will be ripping soon... Quote
Michael Bouthiller Posted June 24 Author Posted June 24 We’re in a another heatwave again what fans are you running during this heatwave? Quote
Daniel Herczeg Posted June 24 Posted June 24 I had my Westinghouse 10LA4, GE 49X929, GE strap fan, and Manning-Bowman Model 52 running. I'm in an odd state of transition between packing my fans for Lehigh Valley Fan Meet (I am arriving a day early to spend time with my grandmother), and keeping the essential fans out and running until the last minute. Christian Kasprzyk Posted June 24 Posted June 24 I am stuck in an apartment with all my fans in storage so I am stuck with Walmart trash. Please send your prayers in this dire time… In all seriousness they are better than a Zero or no fans at all. But still, antiques are way cooler! Quote
Michael Bouthiller Posted June 24 Author Posted June 24 (edited) I’ve been using my Emerson 77648 AS for the past 3 weeks Edited June 24 by Michael Bouthiller 1 Quote
Steve Butler Posted June 25 Posted June 25 As soon as the temperature climbs the 12” Vortalex is on in the living room. The brass bell is pointing in the kitchen. My wife thinks Vortalex blades are hideous looking. She prefers it to be running so she can’t see them. 😏 Quote

She prefers it to be running so she can’t see them. 😏 Mine is just the opposite - she loves the Vortalex blades! The Vortalex pedestals are her favorite fans I have, followed by the pedestal GE Quiet Blades. As for what I'm running now, there's a Vortalex pedestal in the living room, an assortment of GE AO/AOUs scattered throughout various rooms and the kitchen, a 1908-09 Westy tank in the entry hall, a late '20s 16" Diehl on the stairway landing, a late GE BMY in the exercise room, and Emerson Northwinds in a couple of bathrooms. All on the top speed, of course! Quote
Jack Minor Posted Tuesday at 01:15 AM Posted Tuesday at 01:15 AM When I shower I fire up my Hawthorn 6 wing tank to blow air into the bathroom. No AC in there. The living room, I usually fire up an Emerson 2010 to get some air moving. It runs and works great. Master bedroom I’ve got an Emerson CF-28 that I run, especially when I can catch that all important weekend afternoon nap! 2 Quote
