I picked up the fan and realized the hand knob is plastic and had been cracked/broken and fixed, but the fix limits the turn radius on one side, and on the other, it is missing a piece that makes the gear actuate the turning, although I can spin it freely over 360 degrees by hand which is nice

Does anyone know of someone who may have the hand gear? Everything else is fin. It even came with the original box

BE CAREFUL SPINNING THE SIDE 360 YOU DONT TWIST THE WIRE WHERE IT GOES IN. I **HOPE** IN YOUR BOX ARE THE USUALLY LOST WING PANEL PIECES (CHECK THE PACKING THEY ARE SMALL). I AM SURE SOMEONE HERE HAS A PARTS VERSION AND CAN SUPPLY YOU TWO OF THE THUMB WHEELS ...THE BOX LOOKS GREAT!

Yep, saw that it's not a good idea to keep turning it one way. I found a post and responded to someone working with Louis Luu. They made a replica. No response to the post though 😞 anyone know how I can get ahold of him?

Also, does anyone know how the blade is mounted and secured onto the shaft? The center visible piece is rubber. I don't want to break anything trying to pull it off. There is some play. If I pull the blade forward, it mounts onto the rubber and the play goes away, but eventually it comes back.

Nothing else in the box 😞

I wrapped 1 layer of wire harness cloth tape around the grommet and reinstalled. All good!

THE WAY GE RECCOMENDED REMOVAL AND FRESHEING WAS RUBBING ALCOHOL. FOR REMOVAL CHRIST HARDING SAYS SQUIRT WD40 STRAW IN THE FRONT HOLE . THE HARD THING IS TO KEEP THEM FROM SLIPPING AND HEATING UP TO MELT ... GE USED AN ADHESIVE WITH THE PLASTIC BLADE FANS...
