James Lawson Posted August 6, 2024 Posted August 6, 2024 That's a property inventory ID tag that didn't come from the factory. Could've been from a school, hospital, hotel, industrial setting, or just about anywhere. Without a name on it, we'll never know. Quote
James Lawson Posted August 6, 2024 Posted August 6, 2024 Forgot to say - that's a nice example of a survivor Vortalex. Most of the ones I've run into are considerably more "well loved" than yours is! Quote
Michael Bouthiller Posted August 7, 2024 Author Posted August 7, 2024 What kind of switches did they use Quote
Tom Zapf Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 that was a great find! i have one just like it in very nice shape and also in the mist blue color that came next ,,, the tag as has been said would have been for an industrial location and put on so the fan would "belong" to a specific department or office location Quote
Michael Bouthiller Posted August 8, 2024 Author Posted August 8, 2024 Here’s my 16 inch example IMG_6357.mov 1 Quote
Michael Bouthiller Posted August 8, 2024 Author Posted August 8, 2024 Also on my 16 inch the switch was missing so I put a pull chain in the base Quote
Levi Mevis Posted August 11, 2024 Posted August 11, 2024 I've got a 12" version of this fan as well, Mine too is in darn near mint condition, I also paid a "mint" for it as well unfortunately. Quote
Michael Bouthiller Posted August 18, 2024 Author Posted August 18, 2024 (edited) My 12 inch Vortalex also came from the late great Steven Dempsey!!! Edited August 18, 2024 by Michael Bouthiller Quote
Daniel Herczeg Posted August 18, 2024 Posted August 18, 2024 I have one just like that. It needs varnish and is slightly unbalanced, which won't be fun, but it's otherwise in nearly perfect shape. Quote
Michael Bouthiller Posted September 20, 2024 Author Posted September 20, 2024 Update I got the pedestal version of this fan now and I’m very happy with it IMG_6398.mov Quote
