Tim Babcock Posted September 3, 2024 Posted September 3, 2024 I think I may have posted this a few years ago but can not find it. Could be on the old site. I get this a lot where I live. If a fan was stored in an attic or barn then I get mud dauber nests. This current Emerson I have 9 on the coils. Quote
Tim Babcock Posted September 4, 2024 Author Posted September 4, 2024 Strange it did not show up in my search. Quote
Michael Rathberger Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 I can't imagine how it's possible your search missed it unless you had search on titles only set. The title spelled it daubber but the body had dauber. Quote
Tim Babcock Posted September 4, 2024 Author Posted September 4, 2024 I think I figured it out. Somehow the search was set to this topic only. Quote
George Durbin Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 (edited) If it's a spyder it would be easier to just burn the house down! Other than that it can be handled... js... Edited September 4, 2024 by George Durbin Quote

My rule is no hips no legs or arms and its not a water animal its dead. Quote
Paul Carmody Posted September 5, 2024 Posted September 5, 2024 Funny the spiders brought up.I got the fan about 3 weeks ago and was shipped, pulled it out ,sprayed lubricant all over the hardware, ran it a few minutes ,stuck it back in a secure box.I opened yesterday, ran it again ,sprayed lubricant all over let it sit. When I opened it ,which took awhile.Rusted hardware. There was a lot of webbing ,I pulled it out.So after a spell a little black spider crawls out on my hand.It was shiny black and looked like a Black Widow except with white spots? The fan came from Illinois. Not like any here. They are tough .I squashed it with a paper towel. Quote
