Lane Shirey
A nice gentleman from the Chicago area contacted me hoping that I could do a restoration for him, but the shipping makes it cost prohibitive and he doesn’t feel he has the ability to pack it correctly. Here’s the story. It’s a later GE 16” AOU Loop Handle fan with green painted aluminum blades. It was his grandfathers and he’d like to pass it down to his son. It runs intermittently (in talking, I think he means it oscillates intermittently). So it’s running in some fashion. He’s not looking for a high level restoration, just disassemble, clean everything, lube everything, and new cords if needed. Clean all electrical components, etc. Basic restoration at a reasonable price. He’s willing to pay a fair price to have an evaluation performed to see what it needs. I’d do it for him at no charge if he was local, since he’s not looking for much to be done and it’s to give to his son. He’s looking for someone in the Chicago area that can meet him to hand off the fan. Any takers? If so, let me know and I’ll pass your info to him. Somebody please step up and show him what this club is all about.
