Steve Butler Posted September 17, 2024 Posted September 17, 2024 (edited) I went to a live auction to nab the Dayton and picked up a bonus mystery fan. It has a push pull switch that looks original. There is no tag or badge. It looks like a smudged label on the bottom but I can’t make anything out. Any help is appreciated. Edited September 17, 2024 by Steve Butler 4 Quote
Russ Huber Posted September 17, 2024 Posted September 17, 2024 (edited) The information was on the missing badge. In a semi-circle on the top half of the badge it said "Dayton Fan & Motor Company. Dead center it said Dayton. There was a nice one just days ago that lasted a day or two on marketplace with its badge on the central eastern side of Wisconsin. If your switch isn't original, I'll eat it without salt. 🙂 Edited September 17, 2024 by Russ Huber Quote
Michael Rathberger Posted September 17, 2024 Posted September 17, 2024 No need to confirm it but Russ is correct, both Daytons. The 22 is one of my favorite fans. The blade hub itself is a little work of art. Darryl has feet for those, they look great on them, raises it about 3/8 of an inch, gives it a nice look. Nice score. Quote
Steve Butler Posted September 17, 2024 Author Posted September 17, 2024 Thanks for the info Russ and the picture Larry. These guys didn’t travel far. I picked them up a little south east of Dayton. Your description sounded familiar so I went looking in the garage and realized my trailer hitch fan matched. It’s a 10” cage, not exactly like Larry’s example. I agree Michael, even my wife loves the little tab base fans. Quote
