FASCO Arctic Aire question: gearbox pivot shaft

Recommended Posts

1938-39 18" "Falcon blade" unknown-model, cast-hub Arctic Aire from about 1938-39.

Will the oscillator pivot shaft press through the sectioned friction disc and out the bottom of the gearbox? Or, is the shaft and disc machined all as one piece? The oscillator wheel at the bottom looks swaged on...🤔 It rather seems like it's all one unit.

I've already snapped the nipple at the top, very unfortunately. Hoping someone knows how (or if) these can be disassembled further.

I refuse to believe I am asking about the location of the Holy Grail. No one has ever cleaned & serviced their Arctic Aire/Spartan, FASCO fan before??
