Video playback on forum...

Hi folks; I'm looking for some advice. I'm unable to effectively watch videos on the forum. They play in 1 to 2 second jumps with long pauses. This is not a problem with YouTube or any other video site. Happens on my desktop and laptop PC. I can watch HD videos on any other site so I don't think it is a bandwidth issue on my network.  Any thoughts? 

I made this short YouTube video to demonstrate what is happening.  Note that this is with utmost respect for Bill Dunlap and Lyle Peterson; whose videos I am using to demonstrate. The issue is with playback quality and not with content, to be sure everyone is clear. https://youtu.be/awPs_Fr2mBI

Hate to say it but it's just the lackluster forum software and hosting performing normally(?) The poor playback occurs on my phone, my laptop, and an iPad. All different operating systems and browsers.

Seems like if it were the 'usual lackluster forum software' everyone would have the same issue.  I, for one, have never had an issue playing back any video that has been posted.  Maybe, I'm just 'special'.

i didn't complain because I wrote it off as a 'somehow my problem' issue even though it's the only video source across any of my apps or sites that has such a problem with buffering. My issue presents in an identical fashion to David's. Split seconds of video with buffering breaks ranging to as long as the video play segments or longer, usually longer. No video but here's a screenshot of the throbber* just for the hell of it. Since the video playback is functional, but poor, I can only suggest some type of network issue.

*(Don't blame me, 'throbber' is the official lingo)

Have the same problem.No problem with YouTube’s on the site.If someone having the issue figures it out please post the fix.
