Anthony Lindsey Posted July 6, 2023 Posted July 6, 2023 Anyone know how to get this out? Removed the oscillator wheel and cross gear. Removed housing from fan. Don't see a set screw unless it's inside the small drain hole in the side. Quote
Chris Campbell Posted July 6, 2023 Posted July 6, 2023 (edited) I cant recall exactly but here are my old reference photos. Think press on lower wheel to push gear upwards where pin can be accessed Edited July 6, 2023 by Chris Campbell Quote
Michael Rathberger Posted July 6, 2023 Posted July 6, 2023 (edited) Here's a spare Dayton. Do you have this port on side? That's where mine was. Edited July 6, 2023 by Michael Rathberger Quote
Anthony Lindsey Posted July 6, 2023 Author Posted July 6, 2023 Yes, got it out. Thanks to all. There is nothing under the gear. Chris I see a spring in your picture, does that go under the gear? Also has this wedge shaped rubber seal. Suggestions on replacing? Quote
Michael Rathberger Posted July 7, 2023 Posted July 7, 2023 On the old site they recommended graphite packing like on a faucet. I did same... Quote
Chris Campbell Posted July 7, 2023 Posted July 7, 2023 I think the spring was for brushes. Mine are DCs. Quote
