Bill Shampine Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 I have a 1949 6350-H Golden Jubilee that came to me with the incorrect shoulder screw. The current screw on the neck side of the oscillator arm is too long and is inserted from the bottom facing up so the arm just rides on the threads and held down by gravity. The screw on the oscillator wheel side is currently a normal slotted shoulder screw like I see on my other Emerson fans - that’s also what I see on other 6250 gallery photos on the site. Antiquefanparts.com shows different screws on each end - normal slotted on the neck side and a knurled shoulder screw on the oscillator wheel side (like you might see on a GE fan using a friction type oscillator wheel the needs to tightened/untightened by hand). This doesn’t make sense to me for an Emerson. Normally I’m not a stickler for period correctness, particularly when it comes to screws but if I’m going to spend $15 plus shipping for a screw, I might as well get the period correct one. Thoughts? Is what AntiqueFanParts showing correct? Quote
