Working hard in the main hall of the 2025 Pennsylvania Farm Show. Looks like a 48-incher or so…

Holy crap. That’s not a 48. That’s the legendary 72

You could see 8 of them if you wanted to take a trip to the Phillipines. image.png.bc5e028f895d65b22787652362c226c4.png

yes it is! It's my ILGWIND 272 with its counter column, ill be making a post on it in for my first post, just doing some restoration and modification to add a 3 prong plug with a ground.

It sparked when I took the motor cover off, the wiring on it was shot, levolier switch was jammed on high, capacitors were going weak, classic ILG dry bearings and it needed a lot of TLC.

Took apart the entire fan apart, checked the windings, threw on some new bearings and everything seems to be sound now, very very quiet with some safety measures to prevent the fan from shorting itself out.

I am a ILG guy as well haha.

You should come to the Houston meet in October. I have probably 30-40 Ilgs from 6" to 48".

I'd love to come, it would be my first meet, I do reside in the northern part of Houston so the meet will be very achievable.

It would be fun to meet up! I'd love to check out your ilgs and meet the community.

I had an ilgwind 272. I was forced to sell it thanks to my parents. Boy do I miss that thing.

Dang man I'm really sorry to hear that, it is a beautiful fan! Why did you have to sell it? No space?

I understand that, moving one of those fans, you'll invent new curse words while you find a place to put it haha 😄
