Mike Kearns
1976 - Due to the last several years of Ilg being mismanaged, a bad national economy, poor business practices (In 1975 Ilg was selling centrifugal fans at a loss) slow production, customer dissatisfaction due to missed schedules in shipments, Ilg is recognized by the top brass that the division is a figural sinking ship. President of Ilg Charles F. Reitz sees the writing on the wall, and takes a golden parachute, abandoning the firm to be dismantled, downsized and dumped.
