Is this a DC fan?    I see what looks like Brush holes on each side of the bearing on the front.

Could be AC as 25 and 40 cycle fans from some makers were AC with brushes.  Is there a motor tag that will tell if AC or DC?

I only have access to pictures.    Are those brushes on the front?

Anthony, ask yourself how big the commutator would be to fit inside along with the front bearing. If those were brush channels, the brushes would be missing or just skimming the bottom of the commutator.  How about a funky front rotor shaft lubrication design?

Great observation.   I hadn't seen that one before.
