Steven P Dempsey Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 A buddy needs to remove a Junior screw on blade - - does the rotor lock the usual way? Quote
Steven P Dempsey Posted August 26, 2023 Author Posted August 26, 2023 I have a set screw blade, and a screw on type Quote
Edward Kowalke Posted August 27, 2023 Posted August 27, 2023 I just restored a 10" junior (SC/SB) that had a screw on blade. Blade was so tight I had to take the front cover loose and hold the rotor with a pair of vice grips. There was no hole drilled in the back of the rotor to hold it. I think someone tried to remove the blade at one time not knowing about LH threads and cranked it so tight and also bent the hub enough I had to remove a blade to work it straight. 1 Quote
Gary Walker Posted August 27, 2023 Posted August 27, 2023 I have a '32-'33ish Jr that I am currently restoring. I have the rotor out and there are no holes too Aid and removing the blade. However wine is a set screw blade. Also, is there any chance you have any extra gearbox parts? Thanks Quote
Terry Plata Posted August 28, 2023 Posted August 28, 2023 Question; Was the 1930 screw on blade brass or steel painted brass color? Thanks, Terry Plata Quote
Geoff Dunaway Posted August 29, 2023 Posted August 29, 2023 Best I have seen, early Jr's were all brass painted steel blades but then, I've never seen or studied Rocky's stash of Jr's..... Quote
George Durbin Posted August 29, 2023 Posted August 29, 2023 Any one have an 8" NON-oscillating jr?... 😋 Quote

Lawrence Smith Posted September 11, 2023 Posted September 11, 2023 I’d be more interested in the brass blade Quote
