Hey everyone, I hope all had a great labor weekend.

I'm in need of some help. I'm working on a Silver Swan model 5250D-10 single speed and the head wires were toast so I replaced them and it worked great.

Then I moved the head wire and it blew a breaker, Now there's not enough to safely put new wires on.

any help is appreciated.IMG_0752.thumb.jpeg.36e69383fa8b3c2686bc45c1e8e7d811.jpeg

Thanks Marce

You’ve got plenty, first take shrink tube & slide it as far as it goes , then solder the new connection . Secure the new connection & go!
also take an ohm reading on the 2 leads to make sure the stator is still good.

hey Lawrence thanks for the quick reply. right now the stator is showing a short but i think because there's no insulation (I hope ) but I can't seen to push the shrink tube down very far.

That’s not good , inspect closely with a flashlight , look were the 2 leads come out & around each coil edges , you might have fried the windings before the breaker tripped .

update on the Silver Swan. I was able to pull the wires thru and ad to them. I'm happy to report the fan is running great and to specs.
