I like to draw a little diagram and label the wires with letters. Then do your ohm readings across the various letters... For example: A-B, A-C, B-C, etc. This will help us better understand what your readings are trying to tell us. Learning how to use a meter to measure resistance (ohms) is a very valuable tool. Helps you diagnose problems, where to connect wires, etc. For example, I'm big on Emersons. Typically there's 3 wires on the stator. Reading the difference in ohms, you can see if your stator is good. Then knowing the ohms of the various combinations of those wires, I'll know exactly what wire to connect where on the switch, even if the head wire was cut or trashed when I got the fan. Reference the diagram that Alec posted earlier. Edited February 5, 2022 by Patrick Ray
Arjun Saini
Well I wish I can redo it but I broke my meter. Kinda pissed about it.
