I have a Porter/Leavitt No.2 badge and a Porter Leavitt No.3.  This one looked unusual.  Will need to make a badge for it.  This one I think will go on a fancy brass table.

Big fan of the round base, gives it a nice look. A few connectors and a little switch would finish it off.

I have an original with the switch....will be fabricating that for my Porters.

Just arrived.  Different than my Leavitt No.3 Double Coil and casting is also different and side terminal.

That is a very neat fan! It's always fascinating to see just how much the fans have evolved to even get to the point of which most of my fans are from, and even more so to how they have evolved into today's fans.

The earlier version of this particular model was a single coil.  This one has two coils in the base.  I am aware of at least three different versions of No. 3.  The "Battery" tag which has a heavier casting and single coil in the base, this one with thinner casting and two coils and the third one with the long legs.

Here is Porter No. 3.

One on the left is a single coil....thick casting.  One on the right is two coil....thinner casting and the third one with long leg I grabbed off the internet.....too lazy.
