Here is the finished fan. I call the color anodized smoke

I picked up the fan for $20 a few months ago off of Facebook. It had been painted over, and had an R&M Steel tank cage and struts on it. Before I picked it up I thought it might be an R&M standard I could match to this one I had already.

When I picked it up the motor tag showed it was a Hawthorn, which I was happy with as I didn't have one yet. The motor was on upside down so I had bearing concerns but they appear fine.

Thanks to fellow local fan nut John Trier for providing me two trashed donor cages to make one good one. Got a repop badge from Donald Coleman to put on it.

Took the opportunity at Docs to use a good blaster setup and save myself a couple hours work removing layers of paint, japan and rust.

Applied an etched primer and a filler primer. Then the basecoat for this color is called Silver Sealer by Createx.

The color coat is a mix of Createx Candy2o Black and Quicksilver mixed with their UVLS 4050 Clear Gloss. This is sprayed over the silver base coat in 5-6 passes with the spray gun after drying 5-10 min after each coat.

After that I applied a coat of bleed checker over the color coat and on top a PPG 2k clearcoat.

I took apart the speed switch plate and speed coil laminations. They were all cleaned and coil revarnished. The brass and hardware were all polished, waxed and coated with ceramic sealer. New headwire, plug and power cord, grommets and feet.

Thanks to anyone that provided parts or info. Now to find a place for it.

Looks really nice! The elbow grease is very apparent. Your video is currently not displaying. FYI

Weird. I trimmed the video down maybe that will help.
