The use of a series-wound laminated stator 1897-99 H-C DC desk fans. There are AC versions of this brushed model. In 1900 they went to a cast DC motor frame with 1902 being the last season their desk fans were on the market. They marketed only wall ventilators starting 03 season. Menominee copied the Holtzer round ball design for their brushed 12" AC or DC models introduced for the 1911 season. Tideman must have had connections or infatuation for Holtzer Cabot fan motors as in the 19th century Menominee bipolars were using the same guard as H-C.
