FWIW.....A way to reason LH threads is the direction the oscillation shaft is turning from the worm gear end. The blade turns clockwise and thus so does the shaft from the worm gear end. Any friction between the shaft/worm gear and the hex bushing will only tighten the bushing with left hand threading. So left hand threading it is. It is always handy when opportunity arises at low cost to get a rust bucket Emerson oscillator stump or two in the 24xxx-29xxx types.
