Bejon A. Boranian Posted February 9, 2024 Posted February 9, 2024 ...it sparkles, hologram like! 🤔 Short video shows the effect. I've seen variants of the hologram "UL" sticker, each may show a different hidden pattern...   VID_20240209_152355.3gp Quote
Bejon A. Boranian Posted February 9, 2024 Author Posted February 9, 2024 ...Closer look, wires damaged, paper used as insulator: Still works, but cord probably needs replaced for safety... Â Quote
Bejon A. Boranian Posted February 9, 2024 Author Posted February 9, 2024 This Sanyo is Japan made for USA market. (A very similar model is made in Mexico, also for USA market). ...Although, most of those have the gold cage with transparent badge. Mine has silver cage with chrome badge... Runs the very good. Bejon A. Boranian Posted February 9, 2024 Author Posted February 9, 2024 Lastly, a quite odd one: PATTON, 12" oscillator. Made by TATUNG/Standard of Taiwan. Mostly metal. Heavy and is my most powerful 12" vintage fan. Â Quote
Bejon A. Boranian Posted February 9, 2024 Author Posted February 9, 2024 More... Note: Speeds are as follows: 1= High Speed, 2= Med, 3= Low... Most fans have it the other way around... "Patton Electric..... Fort Wayne Indiana..." It should also be noted: I've seen PATTON as: A Sanyo, A KDK, And now most recently, a TATUNG/Standard.... 🤔🤔  Quote

Brought this one home today: It says it's a "Kool Operator" but looks way newer. Perhaps a last run? 🤔 PICS:  Quote

Christian Kasprzyk Posted February 16, 2024 Posted February 16, 2024 That is indeed the last run of Kool Operator from the early to mid 2000s, they are still reasonable fans but nothing like the older ones. What is interesting is that for some of the time that this was made, they also made this(See fan on left), the WC2000. Which is exactly like a Kool Operator, I have a final year Kool Operator, and a first year WC2000 and they have the same performance. However, earlier Kool Operators will still beat them as in 1997 they switched to brace blades and smaller motors. They should have called the WC2000 the Kool Operator and called the 5 blade the WC2000. Why they didn't, I have no idea. The Kool operator you have shows up rather frequently but the WC2000 is rather uncommon it seems. Quote
Tom Zapf Posted February 16, 2024 Posted February 16, 2024 OKÂ THANK YOU, MY TWO KOOL OPERATORSÂ ARE THE BLACK 7 BLADERS ON THE RIGHT ... GOOD DEALÂ Quote
