Bejon A. Boranian Posted February 13, 2022 Posted February 13, 2022 ...a little process of how some of my minis start life... ..Literally, as an "idea" of a fan scribbled onto some metal-! 🤔 💡 It all starts to take shape after that... But that will be posted after I get at least one done 😵 ..PICS as they are currently.. ..and, YES, making mini vintage fans (the plastic kind) out of metal is actually easier for me! Exception, of course, is the vornado.. ..which was built out of metal & now will be miniaturized in metal. No more yellowing & brittle plastic to worry about. Just rust & dust. 😉 Quote
Bejon A. Boranian Posted February 13, 2022 Author Posted February 13, 2022 All new for 2022, a peek at the "ROBESON" line of mini fans featuring the "Wonder Blade". This plastic mock-up is but a taste, the final version will be metal.. ..(except for transparent color versions... more on that later...) Wonder Blade: from the same company that brought you the "great fan" "ROBESON" newest blade in town, Silent service & prompt air delivery are its trademark. Look for them this summer, only from "ROBESON". Quote
Bejon A. Boranian Posted February 17, 2022 Author Posted February 17, 2022 ...I admit, the Lakewood hv-4 would have been allot cooler like this... But for some reason, they gave us 4 blades.. 😟 I made it 3 again.. 🤔 Soon, I'll just make my own altogether. 👍 PICS: Quote
Bejon A. Boranian Posted February 17, 2022 Author Posted February 17, 2022 Progress! 💡 Mini "Tatung" or maybe a Hitachi??? Blade finished. 2022 Vintage is in the works 😎 ..Just takes kinda long, as I only have a few days off a from work. This is ready to be equipped, currently balanced & assigned a motor. "Heat treated" using the "Calrod" method. (My stovetop)...😵 Not easy, and too much heat will melt the blade (and may burn hand)..😬 PICS show result: Quote
Bejon A. Boranian Posted February 20, 2022 Author Posted February 20, 2022 GE, you could have given us this... Could you imagine? GE fans that rival even a TOSHIBA from the same era.. Just one PIC for now... More as this project develops. 😎 Quote
Bejon A. Boranian Posted February 20, 2022 Author Posted February 20, 2022 Needs a name.. TOSHIBA had cool ones like: "Crystal Zephyr" & "Cool Sprinter". Here's my proposal: GE: "RadiCooler" Maybe? 😉 Eh, maybe I need to work on it a bit more.. 🤔 Quote
Bejon A. Boranian Posted February 21, 2022 Author Posted February 21, 2022 These fan ideas need a source of movement... 363 of 'em.. (And counting! 😱😵) Each one has the ability to become a fan. Gotta catch collect 'em all 😉 PICS: Quote
Bejon A. Boranian Posted February 23, 2022 Author Posted February 23, 2022 Progress-! 🤔💡 Scrapped the "RadiCooler" name.. But not that blade-! (The formerly known "RadiCooler" blade will be featured as a gen 2 VORTALUXE fan for the 1980's fan series. Vortaluxe... definitely going with this one, seems to fit much better. 😎 PICS of the process... Quote
Bejon A. Boranian Posted March 6, 2022 Author Posted March 6, 2022 "Lakewood" fans, current development: (PICS) Seriously, they could have given us this... ..Maybe the AC motors they put in just couldn't handle 3 blades?? 🤔 ...I plan on having this as a DC motor conversion, so no problem there 👍😎 DC motors: "More power, less heat, better dependability and portability" Quote
David Kilnapp Posted March 6, 2022 Posted March 6, 2022 You sir are a very talented craftsman! Very impressive work! Quote
Bejon A. Boranian Posted March 16, 2022 Author Posted March 16, 2022 Adding to my expanding selection of Vintage minis.. Here's a glimpse at the "National/Panasonic" line of fans 🤔💡 Quick Features: (May vary as this develops...) -working switch (Deluxe Only) -Fully articulated, up/down, tilt, head side to side (manually). -near scale components, badging, styling, etc.. -motorized -clear blades of various colors... PICS: *MAY include "KDK" fans as well...😎 Quote

I aim to share the fans I build. It's just... I have to actually get some fully built first 😵 But seriously, these minis take time, but are a very fun challenge to make. ☺ Especially the Vintage ones... They're actually much more difficult to build when compared with my Antique minis..😱 Quote
Bejon A. Boranian Posted April 20, 2022 Author Posted April 20, 2022 ...Trying out making my own unique "brand" of fans..🤔 My proposed brand: "Sunstar". These "Sunstar" fans shall feature an exclusive 6-blade for use on pedestal fans. ..Desk, box & wall fans plus considering 360 degree gyro lamp and high velocity fans. (...Actually, it's inspired by TATUNG/SUNSTAR fans marketed in US back in the 1990s..) ..However, unlike the original, I'm taking the 1990s style back in time with a more 70s & 80's look. My logo & designs thus far: PICS: Quote
Bejon A. Boranian Posted April 20, 2022 Author Posted April 20, 2022 ...Sunstar Before: (After coming soon) ...These will be made mostly of metal. ...Pedestal control panel housing & design process PICS: Quote

Bejon A. Boranian Posted July 9, 2022 Author Posted July 9, 2022 ...Mastering the "recycling" technique... This type of plastic is kinda soft at first, but add some heat & it starts shrinking in size and becomes as hard as a real "ABS" Or similar "Acrylic" type blade set, just in miniature... ...Some measuring, cutting, bending & balancing, you'll soon go from this: (Before PICS): Raw recycle components. Quote
Bejon A. Boranian Posted July 9, 2022 Author Posted July 9, 2022 ...To this... (See After PICS) ..A useful blade set with open badge. A mini Toshiba Crystal Zephyr in the making... Pumps out a B a l a n c e d breeze which absolutely matters to me-! 😵😎 (I have little tolerance to unbalanced blade sets)... Not having a prop-balancer (Duo-bro?), I made my own using a dressmaker pin. I'm actually surprised it works 💡 The Results below: Quote
Bejon A. Boranian Posted July 9, 2022 Author Posted July 9, 2022 ...Runs butter smooth- ! 😎 9V power, good torque motor with efficiency in mind. Deep color with a glass-like appearance and light distortion for a look like when sunlight hits a pool of water. (PICS) Quote
Bejon A. Boranian Posted July 14, 2022 Author Posted July 14, 2022 ...A couple days ago I was messing around with some new "Westinghouse" ideas / designs. Results: heating plastic produces a new color... Using a staggered heating method, I produced the following: (New color "Westinghouse" badge) Quote
Bejon A. Boranian Posted July 14, 2022 Author Posted July 14, 2022 ...the above in mind, I pushed it further... New "Air injector Ring" ...for Riviera or Mobilaire fans Part transparent, part "Jade Bakelite" it has a look all its own. Quote
