Arjun Saini
Hello. As the warmer weather is coming I reinstalled this beast and I need a speed control. I tried my variable speed controller but the fan didn’t like it. Is there anyone that has a 2 speed converter for an ilg like this? John McComas
What speed controller did you use? (picture) How many amps does it draw?
Arjun Saini
fan is rated at 2 amps
Steven P Dempsey
I'd use a VARIAC, POWERSTAT, etc. I like the units with a reset switch (no fuses) & a carrying handle - 3 amps will run most fans.
Patrick Ray
Being that it's an exhaust fan and something you don't exactly carry around, I'd wire it up to one of these controllers. I use them on ceiling fans and they work great. You can get it through Amazon.
Arjun Saini
I was thinking of an original ilg converter
Jim Kovar
"Google Translate" from Chinese?

Arjun Saini
I think the controller can only do 5 amps max
John McComas
You will have to excuse Jim Kovar. He posted a schematic for a 12 VDC temperature controller. I think he has lived too close to the high voltage switch yard, for too long... This could also explain his "rising star" status...
