So was the 77646AG desk version the SAME mahogany color as my AH pedestal?????

No, the AG was listed in 1939 as having "lustrous baked black enamel." I think there were 2 different colors made that year termed as "Mahogany", with one metal flakes and one without. 

The AG and the AD were transitional fans. The AG is basically an AK with the non-S-wire guar but if functionally the same otherwise.
