Circa 1915 12" 6 Blade Westinghouse Brass Blade/Cage Non-Oscillating Desk Fan Restored - Antique Fan Supply Co

It is one of these.

Wrong fan. That is a drawn steel model, not a cast iron tank. Leave it on the shelf.

If it's a difference of cast iron and drawn steel, I'll just pick it up and see if it's heavy or really heavy. That should give a more definite answer.

Steve, very nice score. I have a six wing tank that runs great but it’s a regular Westy. I think I might like the looks of yours a bit better, what with the patina and that awesome cage badge as well. Enjoy your new treasure!

Thank you Jack and everyone for the positive comments.  👍

It's a cast iron westinghouse. I didn't buy it, as the base is rusted, the brass is tarnished, the cage is broken, and the fan needs rewiring according to the seller, it was also a bit out of my price range, but it's at the Weil Antique Center in Allentown, PA, if anyone wants it.

Do u have any pictures

I, unfortunately, do not. However, if it's as valuable as I've come to believe, someone's going to come flying at that thing like a cartoon character smelling a pie, since not only is the fan $195, but there's also an interesting $28 Vornado in nice shape in the same booth.

I would find it really quick and make a beeline to the tank

Well, it would be a bit of a hike for you, but look for the booth with a bunch of cast iron pans on one wall. It's one or two rows past the checkout, one or two booths in. Also, check out the rest of the store, there are a good few fans strewn about the store, such as:
- A black (possibly green) and brass GE for $~225.
- A Westinghouse of some kind that is missing the paint on the badge, somehow.
- A bunch of different dime store fans.
- A brown plastic Empire fan. It's a bit scuffed, but still probably nice for those who are into plastic fans.
