Finally finished My 12" ECK Wire Yoke I bought all most a year ago. It look ok when I first revived it but a lot of surprises. Darryl Hudson replaced the bearing and made me some beautiful brass grease cups, Nick Loos dressed up the cast hub and rewinged  the blade, Rick Huckabee repaired the switch and Dan Nguyen help me sator problems. The cage was pretty beat up so I fabricated a new one I copied off the AFCA web site.

Beautiful fan, nice work! I'm working on one of the earlier models with an open-gear oscillator.

BUT—How is this a 'Wire Yoke'???

I thought a 'wire yoke' was when the U-shaped YOKE (to let fan tilt) was made of two round wires on each side... 🤔

David - you don't have an ECK!??? You *MUST* get one!

As far as I've seen, their tags had a red or blue background.

Your ECK does not look like a "wire mount" or a "yoke mount".   I wonder what ECK called the model/style.  Maybe a STICK MOUNT?   A beautiful restoration.
AC ECKs have red edit: BLUE tags and DC Ecks  have edit: RED blue tags.   That makes sense doesn't it?   After my edit it should make sense.   I get careless sometimes now that I am no longer collecting fans but I still love and use them.

These two ECKs are original.    The round ball is the DC.   I'm not second guessing on the tag color.

You're playing trickster today Steve! You almost had me scratching my head, when you reversed the AC and DC! DC are Red, AC are Blue! (-; 😉👍🏼

Makes me want to pull my 16" ECK project out of cold storage.  Beautiful!

All I know about the tag is that as far as I know it is original to that fan, I removed it polished it up and clear coated it.

If you look at the tag there is paint missing by Volts and Cycles stamp.

Sorry for the confusion in title, I am also restoring Jandus Wire Yoke Mount. I guess I was thinking about it.

Bobby Bright Brass does it again! 🙂  Eck put these AC models on the market both oscillating and stationary 1913-16. 1917-18 they would sport ming blades on the 12" models. It could possibly date 19, brass guards were still in.  1920 Eck went to steel guards.

Looks legit to me, Bobby. You do fine brass work.

Why is Bobby's Guard different from the one on my two Eck fans which I am sure are original other than a front oiler also on the rear bearing?   Did Eck sell his fan with a cage like is on the fan?
