Russ Huber
I am going to take a stab at White's bill for rebuilding the armature/commutator and rewinding the field. $260.00 + or- for both. Hopefully your front bearing hole isn't egg shaped.. 🙂

Russ Huber
If that is the only severed wire on the armature, it would be worth using a magnifying glass to find the other end and splice. The commutator appears healthy and would need only minor trueing on a lathe. The rusted armature laminations could be CAREFULLY wire wheeled clean, the crud coated windings could be CAREFULLY cleaned with mineral spirits. The armature could be tested after repair on a growler, or continuity setting on a meter.

They have converted 220v and 32v for me as well. Cant recall exactly but think $75 will get fresh fields along with arm work I got a tip from a local motor shop years back, I got tight with the CEO and he did me a favor. The motor shop had bigger fish to fry and farmed out all the smaller brush motor fan armatures and two pole windings being universal and DC motors to White Armature. They in turn got them back from white and jacked the price to the customer in need. White is set up to do jobs for businesses, not so much for the common Joe. I just tell them I do antique fan restoration business and that was good enough for them, so far. White to the best of my knowledge does not do AC brushless induction motor rewinds. They are a modest established small-town shop located in northern Wisconsin. They do great work for very reasonable prices. Jim will have a dandy like new Menominee tab foot when his parts return. Jim Roadt
White is set up for business only and they will ask what is the name of your business....I don't think they check to see if your a real business ....just saying ...Louis electric LLC. or Cherry unlimited should do it .... They don't check. But if we want to keep a good thing going, to newbies going to White for the future, have a business name ready, and send payment Johnny on the spot.
